One of the best parts of the Christmas season is, undoubtedly, the shopping. From finding the perfect present for your infamously hard-to-buy-for brother to taking in all the stunning Christmas decorations, it’s an experience that will likely be missed this year as we all stay safe at home.
But that doesn’t have to mean that you miss out on seeing all the spectacular Christmas display windows that 2020 has to offer. From London to Paris to Milan, your favourite stores are going big this year.
In London, Harvey Nichols has filled the windows of their Knightsbridge and Sloane Street facades with beautiful twinkly lights and sparkly star motifs with the cheeky message, ‘Bring on 2021.’
‘2020 has been a year unlike any other. We’ve come up with a concept that looks forward to the New Year, whilst also reflecting the sentiment that many of us are feeling at present,’ explains Janet Wardley, Head of Visual Display.
Elsewhere in London, Selfridges has decorated its windows to show a traditional vision of Christmas with a Selfridges twist. From iconic to the unexpected, each window tells the story of old traditions meeting new ideas.
Over in Paris, the Dior boutique of Rue Royale has brought out all the stops with a stunning light display in the shape of a Christmas bauble adorning its storefront. Each window has also been meticulously decorated.
And that's only the beginning. Milan, Dublin, Newcastle – cities all over the world are bringing out the best of the best for 2020. Here are the most spectacular Christmas window displays from across the world this year. We can't wait to see what New York City brings...
