Considering it was an app first popularised by children, we sure are learning a lot from TikTok. From gen-z slang to viral beauty hacks, being on TikTok is often like taking the red pill, Matrix-style, and learning about a whole new world. Our favourite so far? The TikTok food hacks that are currently taking over our timelines.

TikTok’s food trends are so popular, they often warrant their own hordes of articles. Search TikTok on Google for example, and ‘TikTok feta pasta’ is one of the biggest breakout search terms of the last year. Then there’s ‘Baked oats TikTok’ – a trend of the last few months – and our most recent favourite (although we’re using that word very loosely), ‘Nature's cereal’.

Of course, with so many different recipes going viral on TikTok, how can we really know the ones worth trying? When you're sat at home on a Thursday drooling over the endless recipes on your feed, finding the one that's really going to satisfy that urge to both eat and partake in a viral trend is a tough task.

That's why we went through the most popular TikTok food trends according to your Googling habits to pick the ones that are so viral you can’t resist making them yourself, even if they turn out to be berries in a bowl of water (at least Lizzo likes nature's cereal, that’s something!). From the most popular pasta recipes on TikTok to the coffee we couldn't stop drinking last year, we've rounded them all up for your viewing pleasure.

So sit back, relax, and get ready to drool… you’re going to want to head down to Aldi after this...
