From London to Copenhagen, These Are the Trousers Stylish People Are Wearing Right Now

I've found the ultimate pair of no-fuss trousers for spring.

Uniqlo Easy Trousers

I love a great pair of jeans, but nothing compares to the feeling of slipping on a pair of trousers and not having to worry about zips or buttons or cinching yourself into rigid denim with no give. This spring I've been on the hunt for a brand new pair of trousers - the kind that are deceptively versatile, so much so that I probably won't be seen wearing anything else out for at least the next three months, nor will I need to. After searching through so many trousers, I've finally found the pair: Uniqlo's Easy Curved Trousers in a colour I can only describe as borderline edible.

Of course, I'm talking about butter yellow. The delectable shade has gripped the fashion industry like no other, and has been spotted everywhere from Givenchy and Toteme to H&M and now Uniqlo. The trousers come in three different colours; black, dark grey, and the standout shade that charts somewhere between warm custard and whipped butter - subtle enough to style effortlessly, but bold enough to garner a compliment or two.

The Easy Curved Trousers are a great spring addition to your wardrobe as they're made from a matte cotton fabric that means they're breezy and comfortable. The waistband isn't restricting as it's a drawstring design, while the hem of the trousers also has a drawstring that you can either pull in or leave out. Style with a striped rugby shirt and Adidas trainers.

If I'm giving up my jeans for a pair of trousers, they need to be easy to style too - luckily this Uniqlo pair are quite frankly a joy in that department. The soft butter yellow shade is so close to a neutral that you can pair it with white, grey or navy without feeling like your outfit is overly bright. For a more polished outfit, style with a boxy white shirt (either a linen shirt or t-shirt) and a pair of tan leather sandals. Alternatively, add a slouchy open-knit jumper and ballet flats to the ensemble.

The best kind of clothing to have in your wardrobe are those no-fuss pieces that require little to no styling, yet still manage to make you look cool. Uniqlo's Easy Trousers are testament to that no-fuss mantra with its high-rise drawstring waist and billowing design, plus, they make a good (and slightly more unique) alternative to a classic linen trouser this spring - it's dopamine dressing in a way that feels actually wearable. Shop the alternative colours below.
