Gird your loins, our first look at Andrea Sachs is finally in. Filming is officially underway for The Devil Wears Prada 2, and if the first looks are any indication, there's plenty of sartorial inspiration to be found at Runway yet again. After nearly 20 years, Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt are all reprising their iconic roles in what is perhaps one of the most anticipated movie sequels of our time. While the film is not set to hit the big screen until May 2026, paparazzi pictures of Hathaway filming in Manhattan have already begun streaming in, and it's shaping up to be quite groundbreaking indeed.
Much like the original, the sequel promises a dramatic insight into the world of publishing with Miranda Priestly facing the collapse of print media in the digital age and finding herself contending with former assistant Emily Charlton, who's rumoured to play a luxury executive. While Andy's role in this is still unclear, we already know four looks she'll be sporting in the film.
So far, we've seen Hathaway in an archival Jean Paul Gaultier co-ord set, a zip-up denim jumpsuit from Re/Done, a patchworked maxi, and a sleek tank top and denim maxi skirt combo from fashion editor-favourite brands Toteme and Agolde. A mix of archival designer numbers and surprisingly affordable pieces, all of Andy's looks so far hint at a more chic character, far removed from her early days at Runway, although with a hint of her chaotic personal style (see: the Re/Done denim jumpsuit styled with chunky dad sandals). Over on TikTok, eagle-eyed fans also spotted Hathaway wearing a certain cerulean blue jumper (not turquoise, not lapis), and while we're pretty certain it's not the exact style from the original, we do appreciate the fashion Easter egg.

Our favourite look of them all? The patchworked Gabriela Hearst number, styled with a pair of Chloé platform sandals, a blue Fendi basket bag (Nigel would definitely approve), and Bvlgari sunglasses. A bit kitchsy and fun, our obsession with the look is actually down to the unassuming runway-embellished garment bag in her hand, suggesting that Sachs still works at the high fashion magazine, despite quitting at the end of the original movie.

Surprisingly, many of the key pieces we’ve seen so far, including the Toteme Ribbed Tank Top, Celine cat-eye sunglasses, and the Gabriela Hearst maxi dress, are still in stock, So whether you're looking to recreate her exact outfits or shop similar staples (we've included some excellent affordable alternatives below), it's your lucky day. But will they earn the Miranda Priestly seal of approval? We'll find out come May.

The Colour-Block Dress
Hathaway was spotted wearing an incredibly bold Gabriela Hearst dress for what looks like a trip to the Hamptons. Leaning into the summer vibe, the dress was styled with a pair of Chloé platform sandals, a blue Fendi bag, a crochet bucket hat and Bvlgari sunglasses. As for jewellery, the actress wore a stack of pearl necklaces with a gold diamond toggle pendant necklace by Jemma Wynne, but you can shop a similar one from Tilly Sveaas.

The Off-Duty Outfit
Hathaway also wore the off-duty outfit of our dreams, pairing a simple denim maxi skirt from Agolde with a clean cut Toteme tank top. For footwear, she opted for a pair of chunky Chanel velcro sandals, while her Bvlgari sunglasses also made a reappearance.

The Zip Up Denim Jumpsuit
Hathaway wore the Chanel Velcro sandals again, this time with a Re/Done zip-up denim jumpsuit featuring mechanical motif patches and embroidered details. She completed the look with a studded Valentino Garavani Panthea bag, adding a hint of biker charm. Get her look with a similar jumpsuit from Whistles – simply add some iron-on patches.

The Pinstriped Two Piece
The first look Hathaway was spotted in was naturally a fashion heavy-hitter: vintage pinstriped waistcoat and trousers set from Jean Paul Gaultier, paired with an archival Coach Saddle Pouch, finished with a pair of pointed-toe heeled boots. But fret not, we've found a similar two-piece from Reformation.

Miranda Priestly Outfits
Naturally, Miranda Preistly's return was marked with an elegantly chic outfit. While we're uncertain about the exact provenance of her look, we're definitely adding the tan leather skirt and beige trench coat paired with a bright purple blouse to our work rotation.
