SKIMS Bra

When hunting for the perfect do-it-all bra, I have a long list of criteria it needs to hit. It needs to be really comfortable, whilst giving ample lift. It should seamlessly disguise itself underneath a basic tee, but I also want to look good. There are major bonus points to be had if the bra also boasts some in-built wizardry meaning it could be worn underneath all of my top/dress variations without even a hint of bra strap on show. So, when I heard that SKIMS had designed a new bra which can be worn in no less than 30 different ways, my interest was piqued.

SKIMS is a bonafide overachiever when it comes to innovation, so it was only a matter of time before it produced such a problem-solving bra. Saving you both money and space in your underwear drawer, the SKIMS Multi-Way Bra, £58 can be handily worn halter, strapless, one-shoulder, criss-cross and many more ways besides. Like all SKIMS bras (I've found, anyway), it's comfortable, flattering and makes my life much easier when it comes to negotiating different necklines and silhouettes. Suddenly, so much more of my wardrobe is available to me, without me having to worry about having a specific bra for certain items.

When the bra first arrived, I'll admit I was slightly overwhelmed. There were more straps, hooks and options than I've ever encountered from my usual bog-standard bras. The SKIMS Multi-Way may look intimidating, but once you get to grips with it, it'll quickly become your wardrobe's MVP thanks to its versatility and ability to be adjusted to fit pretty much any brief. Exaggerations aside, I honestly have no idea how I got dressed before discovering this bra.

Although SKIMS doesn't detail the exact 30 variations the bra can be worn, there are four strap loops on each cup to create the perfect support and shape on a case-by-case basis. You can wear the bra as a halter neck, strapless, one shoulder and as a low back with an additional bra extender. Despite the unwavering versatility, the bra doesn't offer a completely backless option.

The straps are completely removable, adjustable and are easy to manoeuvre. Even when worn as a simple strapless, the bra is surprisingly secure thanks to its grippy silicone interior and subtle side boning. I didn't need to play around with too many straps for a supported fit, but if you have bigger boobs, you have plenty to work with to ensure you feel comfortable all day long.

The Multi-Way Bra comes in six neutral colourways ranging from Sand to Oynx and sizes go from 32A to 44G. I picked my usual size (34D) which was the perfect fit. At £58, it is, quite frankly, a steal when you consider how many different bras it can replace. Take the plunge and thank me later.
