What once started as a footwear staple among healthcare workers and chefs has climbed the ranks, quickly earning itself the title as one of the most coveted products of last year - and the year before that. The humble Croc even found itself among the likes of Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent and Loewe in Lyst's Index of the most highly sought-after luxury brands. Wearers (to include a laundry list of A-listers) excitedly embellished their Crocs with charms - otherwise known as Jibbitz- adding their personalised touch to the trending shoe, and, with its latest exciting designer collaboration, we predict 'Croc fever' is about to set in all over again.
Simone Rocha x Crocs is a collaboration that we never knew we needed - but it makes sense. Rocha, known for dangling pearls, petal pink dresses and ruffled, well, everything, is breathing new life into the Croc, a relatively utilitarian wardrobe item famous for function over form. With subversive femininity and romance at the brand's core, Simone Rocha's take on the Croc involves signature pearls, crystals and beads embellished on the comfortable, sturdy canvas, creating a juxtaposition that's unlike anything we've seen before.
The collection comprises three silhouettes: the Crocs Siren Clog and the Classic Cloc, both arriving in black and white colourways, encrusted crystals and pearls, and the Quick Trail shoe, the most outdoorsy of the three, which will be available in white, khaki and pink in the ultimate manifestation of 'country chic'.
Simone Rocha x Crocs is available to purchase from 12pm today, 10th April 2024, online at crocs.co.uk.
