Even without a single wedding invitation in sight, the new Roksanda & Other Stories collection has me mentally RSVP’ing to every soirée going this summer. From statement wedding guest dresses to elegant cocktail party looks, the capsule is quite simply a masterclass in wearable drama (think Roksanda Ilinčić’s signature architectural silhouettes, softened for the high street).

That's right, after two successful seasons with Jigsaw, the designer returns to the affordable fashion arena with & Other Stories, delivering a collection that feels made for summer festivities thanks to a palette rich with jewel tones that's both timeless and celebratory.

Team Grazia was lucky enough to try the collection ahead of launch - and what amazed us the most was how flattering each piece felt. The fabrics flowed beautifully, hugging and draping in all the right places, while pieces we weren’t initially drawn to ended up becoming favourites. They’re designed with the female form in mind, with a sense of fluidity and power that, speaking from experience, means they're made to turn heads.

Below, I've rounded up some of our must-buy pieces from the collaboration, with size references and styling recommendations to help you make the best possible choice ahead of this summer's wedding circuit. But act fast, Roksanda & Other Stories lands online and in selected stores on 15th May. Set an alarm now, or risk missing out on your new event wardrobe...

Renee Washington, digital fashion and beauty writer, says: ‘When I saw this dress I immediately thought of Bella Hadid. I’m almost certain she has something like this in her vintage archive. For one the colour is stunning, the fabric feels amazing on the skin, and it flows so well. I picked up a size 8 but found there was plenty of room in this dress so take note if you prefer something more form-fitting.’

Gavi Weiss, fashion assistant, says: ‘This orange and purple halter-neck silk dress is the perfect wedding guest dress IMO. The silhouette is ultra flattering and I love the low back. Style it with boots like I have for the colder seasons or with heels for a summer celebration. I’m wearing a size 10 in this dress.’

Gavi Weiss, fashion assistant, says: ’Yellow on yellow can be scary to approach but with a striking colour and silhouette like this you are guaranteed compliments. The shape and texture of this skirt is so unique and feels really luxe. Dress it up with a silky top like I have, or channel your inner carrie Bradshaw and style it with a simple vest top for an everyday look.’

Gavi Weiss, fashion assistant, says: ‘The skirt and top are gorgeous separates but even stronger when styled together like this. Dressy enough for formal occasions but also for a day at the office; we love versatility in our wardrobe! The open sleeves on the top are a unique (and practical, if you sweat like I do) touch to the design.’

The matching skirt to go alongside the colour block blouse. For reference, Gavi is wearing a size 12 in both the top and bottom.

Julia Harvey, shopping editor, says: ‘I know a knitted tank in the summer sounds a bit rogue...but this one is quite light and airy. I’m wearing an XL here, and it doesn’t look as if I’m wearing someone else’s clothes, so if your size is out of stock, don’t fret. I’d wear this with a long denim skirt or linen trousers; it’s great for a sunny office day.’

Julia Harvey, shopping editor, says: ‘This is a stunning necklace that will make the perfect finishing touch to any summer dress.’

Renee Washington, digital fashion and beauty writer, says: ‘Normally I’m used to bracelets and bangles sliding right off my wrist, but was pleasantly surprised when this one managed to stay put (it cleverly wraps around your arm). If this picture isn’t proof enough, I’ll reiterate again (in writing) gold meets pearl is an elite combo, and this looks a lot more expensive than it is.’

Gavi Weiss, fashion assistant, says: ‘This hat definitely says “I’m here” and I’m not mad at it. I thought it would be very impractical but it fits my head. I’m ready to take it on all my summer holidays for an iconic Instagram moment.’

Renee Washington, digital fashion and beauty writer, says: ‘Cocktail party anyone? This dress is certainly fit for one. Styled with the lilac boots, I felt like a pop star. I’m 5’10 for reference so it comes up a bit shorter on me, which I don’t mind at all.’

Renee Washington, digital fashion and beauty writer, says: ‘These boots are made for walking. I surprisingly didn’t have any discomfort wearing them for as long as I did, and the mid-size heel definitely has a part to play in that. I wore a size 6 in the lilac colour and it fit true to size. It’s also worth to mention, the inside of this tan colour way is lined with a stunning royal blue. Surprise.’

Renee Washington, digital fashion and beauty writer, says: ‘For starters, I wouldn’t wear this top with ripped jeans. Instead I’d opt for a skirt (long or short) and a strappy heel for summer events. There’s so much size fluidity in this collection, I typically wear a size 8 but tried a 14 (as it was the only size) and it didn’t hate it, which just goes to show you should ideally try before you buy.’
