For die-hard fans of Only Murders in the Building, the warm-and-fuzzy-and-surprisingly-touching antidote to brusque police procedurals that centres around a trio of amateur detectives that only solve murders in their building (get it?), news that a fifth season is not just in the works but already filming will be music to their crime-hungry ears. As well as its three leads - Selena Gomez, Steve Martin and Martin Short - Meryl Streep, who joined the all-star cast for season 3, has also been seen on the streets outside the Arconia (the apartment block in question and scene of multiple crimes).

Gomez's outfits have always caused a stir on set, with a few signatures that always bring to mind Bloody Mabel, her character's unfortunate nickname. The first is a statement coat, and for season 5, the wardrobe department has kitted her out with a single-breasted design made of teal leather. Adding to evidence that 'summer leather' is a thing, Gomez paired the outerwear with a faux-leather shirt dress from Nanushka, which she styled over a long-sleeved turtleneck, opaque tights and heeled biker-style boots from Paul Andrew (it might be summer but, presumably, this season is set during 'fall'). The look was teamed with the ultimate work bag if you spend the majority of your time investigating and might need crime-fighting paraphernalia like binoculars at any given moment: Prada's padded nappa tote bag.

Mabel Mora
Mabel Mora's Nanushka faux-leather shirt dress is currently on sale, although it's only available in two sizes. While her heeled boot puts a polished spin on the biker, Vagabond's flat version might be easier to run around in, especially if you're engaging in some podcasting and/or crime-solving of your own.

Meryl Streep, meanwhile, was photographed in an outfit that sums up an easy-breezy approach to pre-summer dressing: a printed shirt (Ted Baker), turn-up jeans and espadrille-style loafers (Cole Haan).
