If you're anything like me, then you're already planning out every festive outfit for the rest of December. From Christmas Eve drinks with friends, to your New Year's Eve soiree, there are countless reasons to get dressed up this season. In my opinion, the festive season comes with no fashion rules; the more sequins and metallics, the better, and if there's one item of clothing that we promise you'll wear time and time again this festive season, it's a pair of metallic jeans. And i've found the perfect pair from M&S.

The M&S metallic wide-leg jeans are the epitome of 'party-ready' and already selling fast. Comfortable yet chic, these stylish jeans are made from pure cotton, but designed with a gold shimmery finish, making them ideal for any dance floor. Striking that perfect balance of flattering yet structured, the high waisted jeans skim the hips and thighs in an effortlessly cool way, and offer a wide leg hem - perfect for those who are staying well clear of skinny jeans nowadays.

These metallic jeans are my go-to for the festive season and beyond. Not only are they priced at an accessible price point, they're glamorous and sophisticated all in one. To let the jeans do the all talking, pair them with a minimal top and your choice of heels or boots for a chic evening fit.

Also designed with a ankle-leg cut, these on-trend trousers are available in different lengths to flatter everyone. Whether you need them short, regular or long, these jeans are quickly becoming a cult high street jean this season, so it's no wonder that they're already selling out.

For a casual festive look, pair the jeans with an oversized cream cardigan or jumper and your choice of trainers. For a formal twist, team with a boxy white t-shirt, black faux fur coat and black strappy heels. However, if you want to keep the metallic tone, you could equally pair the jeans with a matching gold heel or boot. I'm calling it now - you'll be reaching for these over and over again every festive occasion.
