If there's one item we spotted in practically every influencer mirror selfie in 2024, it's the Ganni buckle ballerinas. A Scandi favourite, Ganni's flats are an edgier alternative to the ballet pump trend that singlehandedly defined the last year, but they do have one slight drawback; the £325 price-tag.
Thankfully, the high street has never failed to disappoint on the dupe front, and high street hero Marks & Spencer has released its very own take on the Ganni icon. The Patent Buckle Slingback Shoes, £39.50 features the same double eyelet strap and pointed toe, meaning they are almost identical to the Ganni version. They only come in black, however, so if you've had your eye on the leopard Ganni ballerinas, or any other of its 14 (!) colour iterations, you'll have to splurge on the real thing.
Perhaps the best thing about these elevated ballet flats is that they can truly do it all. Wear them the entire day with a floaty summer dress, then again in the evening with a pair of wide leg trousers. To transition through the colder seasons, add some thick white socks and a midi satin skirt with a chunky knit.
Delighted customers are already raving about the M&S flats on Instagram, referring to them as 'the shoe of the moment,' while others are saying they're 'obsessed' with the cool design. Same here.

Yet another great alternative to the GANNI Buckle Ballerinas is this pair from high street label Stradivarius. The straps on this pair are a little slimmer than the original pair, but the style is still extremely similar nonetheless.
