Sometimes a dress comes along that you know is going to make a splash. Take too long to press 'add to basket' and you'll probably find that it's completely out-of-stock; a teasing message, 'Not available, I want it!' left to remind you of your mistake.
And according to Instagram, the next dress everyone's going to want (rather like that polka dot number from Zara) belongs to Mango. Journalist Katherine Ormerod alerted her following on Stories, posting, 'On a non-related to NY note, have been waiting for this dress to come into stock forever and feel it will fly out, so highlighting now before it arrives!' Well it's now arrived - and we can understand her concern about stock levels.
At its most basic, the dress is a slip, but comes with all kinds of details that make it so much more. There are the spaghetti-thin straps that wind down one shoulder, meeting the back in that sweet spot a few inches below the shoulder blades, and the slits on the right side revealing slices of skin.
It's clearly inspired by Nensi Dojaka, one of the hottest tickets at London Fashion Week (and the winner of last year's LVMH Prize), whose designs have been worn by Madison Beer, Zendaya and Emily Ratajkowski. It's also evidence of a trend we saw coming since episode one of new-seasonEuphoria. Maddy, played by Alexa Demie, wore the one most alluring LBD, a keyhole design by Aidan Euan's AKNA, that had a similar sultry energy. The only question now is what should you wear yours to?
