If you're still only buying caterpillar cakes and knickers from M&S, shame on you. The high street retailer has never been more on its fashion game, rolling out cult buy after cult buy at such a clip that blink and you'll quite literally miss them (see, its sell-out suede loafers, hero jackets and cashmere loungewear). The next that will soon be going, going, gone? These bow-tied ballet pumps for £29.50.

The M&S shoe designers certainly know their way around a flat that will go the distance at a price - below £30! - that is deliciously justifiable. Their latest coup is a twist on the traditional ballerina, which they also do brilliantly, with a scrunched leather upper and a sweet bow-tie fastening ever-so-slightly higher on the foot (flattering, no?).

Available in black, red and white (although the red has completely sold out online), they're pretty much the perfect shoe for this fool's spring weather (cold first thing, warm by lunch) we've going to be experiencing for the next few weeks. And if sub-par temperatures are forecast, you can always wear socks until it's safe to go au naturel.
The influencer set has already discovered the joys of these particular ballet pumps. Izabella Lily, for example, went sans ankle sock and paired hers with barrel-legged jeans and a cropped trench coat. You could also wear them for work (with an oversized blazer), for play (try a slinky lace-trimmed slip) and for the school run (there's nothing like a ballerina to elevate a tracksuit).
A do-it-all shoe for under £30? Bravo, M&S.
