This Expensive-Looking Knitwear Trend Is Everywhere — And You Can Shop It For Less On The High Street

January's biting temperatures have meant a sartorial cocooning of sorts for most of us. While being wrapped up in cosy cashmeres and knitted yarn can feel, at times, fusty, the fashion set is reminding us that knitwear can indeed still be sexy, and the answer lies in a cosy knitted skirt and jumper set.

Kate Middleton has previously worn a (miraculously still in stock) Sézane cream knit set, as well as Sofia Richie-Grainge, who wore a cashmere two-piece from label Lisa Yang. We've also seen multiple iterations of knitted sets in previous luxury collections such as Bottega Veneta, where Matthieu Blazy showcased knitted skirt sets featuring the label's coveted intrecciato pattern.

You'll quickly realise that a knitted skirt set is one of, if not the most practical winter staples to have in your repertoire, thanks to its versatility. When worn together as intended, a knitted jumper and skirt set makes styling incredibly easy - just pair with long wool coats and leather pointed toe boots.
