I love the first few weeks of autumn. The sun's still shining and bare legs are still a possibility. It's hard to choose but, in my book, the ultimate outfit combination has got to be a long-sleeved dress with ankle boots.

H&M can definitely help in the dress department. Its new collection, which dropped today, features midi and mini styles, all in a pleasingly pared-back colour palette of black and white. They're also all made from recycled polyester - some made from textile waste and some made from plastic waste - as part of the brand's commitment to only using recycled and sustainably-sourced materials by 2030.

The lace-trimmed dress, which has a slight shoulder puff and flares past the mid-calf, is sure to be a sell out. Ditto the high-necked lace minidress that could double as a little white wedding dress (à la Lily Allen) if your nuptials are going ahead this autumn.

With their lace fabrics, and flouncy hemlines, you need to take a tough line with your footwear.
