If you found yourself flapping around during last week's heatwave - trying to cool yourself down, yes, but also trying to figure out what to wear - we have one word for you: Gimaguas.
The Spanish brand has a growing celebrity fan club - Laura Harrier packed its tangerine-striped minidress on holiday; Kylie Jenner favours its fabulously clingy one-shouldered out out top - and has all the beach-adjacent flavour your summer wardrobe needs, whether you're braving the airport queues or banking on this country's coastline.
Gimaguas is the brainchild of twin sisters Claudia and Sayana, who founded the brand in 2016, and has become known for marrying a deep appreciation for handcrafts (the brand works with makers in India, Madagascar and Mexico) with a mood-capturing flair that means it's a hit on Instagram. (Lisa Says Gah, the San Fransisco/LA-based boutique that is as discerning as it is colourful (and has an ardent social media following) is a stockist, as is Knightsbridge stalwart Harvey Nichols.)
This naturally means that it's also trending in the influencer community, who love its sunset separates (see Imani Randolph, who certainly knows how to rock the miniskirt version), its smocked beach dresses with balloon sleeves (Lucy Williams took it on a recent jaunt) and its figure-hugging knit dresses, tops and trousers (the Dragon, a minidress that mixes turquoise with purple with yellow is a must if you're planning a night on the town).
Its jewellery selection is also famously summer-friendly - check out its puka shell necklaces and hand selfie-friendly rings - and a favourite with Bella Hadid.
Race you to the beach....
