At Copenhagen Fashion Week, the street stylers have been keeping their 'fits fresh (and managing to stave off frostbite) with a little something called 'a plush one'. In layman's terms, faux-fur accessories that add some much-needed cosiness when temperatures are hovering around 2°C.
Emma Fridsell doubled up on her plush ones, wearing a pair of faux-fur ear muffs and fuzzy boots to yesterday's shows. Renia Jaz, meanwhile, braved bare toes (what a woman!) in a pair of fuzzy flatforms from Gucci. But our favourite look came courtesy of Mona M. Ali, Vogue Scandinavia editor and founder of modelling agency Fiiri, who wore a hot pink hat that was the definition of 'warm and fuzzy'.
Faux-fur hats, in particular, have had a particularly fruitful time this winter thanks to Emma Brewin, whose cloud-like bucket hats have found fans in Dua Lipa, Rihanna and Emily Ratajkowski, who wore hers just last week to have a snow day in New York.
But boots are also having a moment. Miu Miu's look rather like Chewbacca - or at least his feet - while plenty of brands have gone for the faux fur-lined effect (Moon Boot, Birkenstock, M&S). In a move that would make Gen Z - obsessed with all things Y2K - proud, River Island has launched a faux-fur claw clip (told you). Without further ado, here are the best faux-fur accessories to buy now. Just make sure you check the weather before you leave the house; your plush one doesn't do rain.
