Tis the most wonderful time of the year…not Christmas, silly, sale season! After months of waiting and resisting the urge to hit ‘purchase’, now is the perfect moment to fill up your basket.
Perhaps there is one item you’ve been lusting after all season, if so now is the time to reach for your purse because in this fast-moving world who knows how long it will stay in stock for? However, if your shopping list is looking sparse we suggest taking the opportunity to plot out your new season wardrobe now while the discounts are on your side. Look for spring summer 19’s big trends, like tie-dye, statement hats and the neutral shades of brown, caramel and oatmeal, to be one-step ahead of whatever everyone will be wearing next year.
There is one piece of advice we like to follow at this time of year, which was handed down to us by our mothers and boring as it is we live and shop by the manta. If you can’t think of more than one occasion or outfit in which said discounted item can be worn then move on, sharpish. It can seem a shame to scroll past an eyewatering price reduction, but unless you’re really going to wear it, what’s the point? Who will even know that it cost you so little when it could have cost you so much?
Head to stores and you’ll be sure to be met with a frenzy of shoppers hunting out bargains. Our advice? Avoid the chaos and stay at home where you can calmly shop. Remove the buyers regret of impromptu purchases justified because the discount was so high by taking the armchair approach. Cup of tea in hand, shop the sales online. And, to make it even easier, each day we are trawling the web to find the best steals at our favourite retailers. Check back tomorrow, as this edit won’t be the same and we would hate it if you were to miss out.
