We’re blaming the untimely weather and the lack of coordination between the stores, but is it just us or have the summer sales come out of nowhere? With the winter sales we can predict to the day when brands and shops that will slash their prices, but this sale season has entirely crept up on us. Like a bolt of the blue, we haven’t had time to gird our credit cards and have spent the best part of today avoiding meetings and scouring online stores for the best buys.
We asked experts for their sale shopping tips and by and large, they all agreed: only buy what you already know you love. Now, us Grazia editors love Ganni and Jacquemus as much as we adore Gucci and Manolo Blahnik, which is why making decisions right now is impossibly difficult.
We suggest shopping with an occasion in mind. For us, that doesn’t mean only big events - sure weddings, birthday parties and vacations are legitimate occasions - but catering to everyday needs, like the office and the school run. Think of what you’re missing and what you know already serves you well and shop smartly. That said, don’t let flights of fancy getaway as those Attico shoes may not have parents evening written all over them, but they will bring you a pocket of joy everytime you slip them on.
