It's nearly that time of year. The holiday you booked months, or even a year, in advance is now looming, and the planning phase commences. You're suddenly asking questions which, in any other context, would appear insane. Will I change underwear more than three times a day? Will I need every single hair tool I've ever owned? And most crucially, do I need a completely new set of swimwear? The answer to all? Yes.

Every single year I embark on a hunt for the best swimwear around, and always end up at the same place - Zara. In my opinion, Zara's swimwear is profusely underrated, but while they are countless on-trend styles at fantastic price-points, it can be hard deciphering between great, high-quality designs, to designs which will last you one summer - tops. Not to mention, Zara's swimwear section in-store is almost non-existent, which makes finding the right pair even trickier. Online, however, Zara swim is a force to be reckoned with.

From leopard print two-pieces to timeless black swimsuits, Zara's well-curated collection has something for everyone. I've scrolled through every single bikini and swimsuit, picking out the very best options worth investing in for this season.

A black swimsuit is a staple to every swimwear wardrobe. We love the one-shoulder element of this piece, combined with the contrast embroidery along the strap for an extra touch of elegance.

Leopard print has had it's moment this season, and there's still no sign of the trend waning. This one-piece features an open-back for that extra something and is proving to be a favourite, with some sizes already selling out.

If you have a larger bust, a wide-strap bikini is what you're looking for that extra bit of support. This bikini also features removable cups, and we particularly enjoy the navy colour. Don't forget to shop the matching bottoms here.

The ultimate boho pick, we particularly enjoy the contrast trims and embroidery detailing on this two-piece. There are only two sizes left in stock, so be quick.

Complete with an all-over animal print and cut-out details, this one-piece makes a statement. It also features removable cups, and a metal ring detail.

Upside-down bikinis are back again this season, and Zara's bandeau version is our top pick. Plus, a black bikini is as versatile as it gets.

If you're dying to get your hands on a leopard-print bikini, look no further than Zara's. With thin straps and no padding, this is a great option for those with smaller boobs.

Halter swimsuits are having a moment, so it's not surprise they feature heavily in Zara's collection. We enjoy the khaki tone if you're looking to add some colour to your summer wardrobe.

If you're not looking to part with brown come summertime, you don't have to. This chocolate brown bandeau is ideal for those looking for an elegant take on the classic silhouette.

Another boho dream, this bikini brown tie-dye accents will look brilliant against your sun-kissed skin. Don't forget to shop the matching bottoms here.

How is the fit and quality of Zara's swimwear?

Zara's swimwear offers a great fit, with many pieces designed to be flattering on various body types. However, we recommend shopping styles that you know work well for your body type. For those with a pear-shaped body, opt for swimsuits with eye-catching tops to draw attention upwards. High-waisted bikinis are great for accentuating the waist and providing more coverage, and if you have a fuller bust, look for swimsuits with underwire and adjustable straps for better support.

What is Zara's exchange policy on swimwear?

Zara’s exchange policy on swimwear allows for exchanges or returns within 30 days of the purchase date, as long as the items meet specific conditions. Swimwear, specifically, must be in its original condition, unworn, unwashed, and with all tags and hygiene liners intact
