Unless you've been hiding under a pile of vintage jeans from Levi's, you're probably aware that denim has reached peak democratisation in the past decade. Where once, finding the perfect pair of jeans might have sent you down a rabbit hole of designer and vintage labels boasting at least a three figure price-tag, denim fans can now take solace in the fact that jeans on the high street are better than ever. A key player responsible for this is Uniqlo.

While the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Uniqlo may not be jeans (it's probably the affordable cashmere selection), it seems the brand is making quite the noise in denim spheres online. Thanks to it's functional and fuss-free design language as well as a crop of brilliant collaborations with insider-favourite designers including Claire Waight Keller, JW Anderson and Anya Hindmarch, the Japanese high street label has established itself as a savvy purveyor of jeans for both men and women in recent years.
Don't believe me? Take a closer look at your social media pages where screens are awash with Uniqlo jeans. A particular favourite the fashion set seems to be gravitating towards is the Wide Straight Jeans, £34.90. The popular pair does exactly what it says on the tin: it offers a flattering wide leg silhouette complete with a high waist. The varied selection of washes on offer only add to the pair's appeal.

This perfectly loose pair is ideal for wearing every single day and comes in a variety of lengths, meaning they're one of the most inclusive pairs of jeans on the high street. While every wash on offer is great, I'd recommend getting the deep blue shade for a touch of '90s energy.
Another style Uniqlo fans have been clamouring for comes courtesy of its recent collaboration with JW Anderson. The Straight Jeans are cut for a classic straight-leg cut that embodies '00s style perfectly while the impeccable construction and JW Anderson logo on the back pocket make it look like they cost far more than their £34.90 price tag. And when it comes to styling? You're only limited by your imagination, as the straight leg silhouettes works well with everything from knitwear and button-downs to tank tops and even a dress over jeans moment. We'd recommend leaning into the Y2K vibe with a matching denim jacket and some Converse.

Cop JW Anderson's polished design language for a fraction of his usual prices with this timeless denim staple. Cut for a loose and straight fit that looks good rolled up or down, this limited-time collaboration style is bound to sell out soon.
One of my favourite things about Uniqlo's denim selection is that it offers long and short sections to take the stress out of hunting for the perfect denim whether you're taller or on the petite side. Made with attention to detail and promising excellent quality, you'll be hard pressed to find finer or more affordable jeans than this. There are some great wide, straight and slim cuts on offer with a few trendy silhouettes peppered through the collection. As for which style you should invest in this season, I've done the research and curated a list of the best Uniqlo jeans to buy now and wear forever.

These baggy jeans with a slight horseshoe silhouette have taken over social media feeds this year, and for good reason. With a roomy cut and a little bit of stretch for comfort, it's a win in our books.

In case you haven't noticed, flared jeans are quite popular this season, so why not give this elegant navy style a try? It'll add the perfect retro touch to your wardrobe this autumn/winter.
