Look I don’t need to tell you how long January feels; it’s cold, it’s dark and everyone is clinging onto the remnants of those freshly made new year’s resolutions. To brighten up my day, I choose clothes. So, I popped into the Covent Garden Reformation store to try on the brand's latest collection and find my favourites. With an impressive roster of A-list fans, from Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber to Jessica Alba and Taylor Swift, Reformation has nailed the sweet spot of trend-led items and wardrobe staples. So, from coats to cardis – these are the best items I’ve found from Reformation’s new collection.

A pair of tailored black trousers is (for me) a cornerstone of my wardrobe. Off out for the evening don’t know what to wear? Black trousers and a ‘nice top’. Got a work meeting? Black trousers and a shirt. Heading to see the girls? Black trousers and a jumper (you can see where I’m going with this). Basically, they’re a fashion failsafe. Reformation's take come neatly front-pleated and with a flattering long length, giving a perfectly slouched cuff if you’re petite or skimming the floor if you’re tall – win, win.

A knitted dress isn’t my usual bag (unless it's oversized and sack-shaped) so an off-the-shoulder, bodycon number was quite a change for me. The fabric felt thick and sturdy whilst the top section, because it folds down to give said off-the-shoulder neckline, feels secure as it’s double thickness. The rich burgundy shade is also bang on trend for winter and seemingly going nowhere fast.

For a change from oversized coats, this bomber-style leather jacket is a real winner. Already a fashion-girl favourite, this style is perfect for 2025 and would look great over a tracksuit or with a LBD for night out. Consider it the perfect upgrade from your trusty leather biker jacket.

So, here are all the best Reformation items I tried on...

This might be the perfect coat; longline, oversized, super-soft wool and a colour that goes with everything. Whilst it might seem pricey, this coat will soon earn its cost-per-wear keep.

Available in six different colours (including pinstripe) these black trousers will take some beating. I went for a size UK12 that fit true to size.

Layer this bomber jacket over knits for a winter-proof outfit or, when spring arrives, throw on over a flippy sun dress for a cool-girl vibe.

The perfect pop of red. I'll be wearing this over a plain white tee or buttoned up with nothing underneath for a cosy but cool evening outfit. If you don't fancy red, choose from 10 patterns and colours all made from 95% recycled cashmere.

Indigo is the new black. Try a barrel-leg cut for a fashion-forward alternative to straight-leg jeans to take your outfit up a notch. These high-waisted Reformation jeans give a flattering fit and are available in waist sizes 23 to 34.

Consider a knit dress your new winter wardrobe staple. Available in three different colours, the influencer-favourite Josafina dress by Reformation is now on sale for £99.

Reformation knitwear is seriously good, perfectly oversized, cosy and so soft. Made from 95% recycled cashmere, the Brooklyn polo is an easy update to your usual roll neck knits.

The Jadey V-neck sweater is available in six plain and two stripy colourways so you can find your favourite, or, collect them all (hey, a girl can dream). Wear with sweatpants and trainers for a chic take on loungewear or with neat trousers and loafers for an office-friendly outfit.

This might be my favourite item I tried on. For a seriously cool coat, look to Reformation's Veda shearling jacket for a suede jacket of dreams - also available in a mouthwateringly good shade of chocolate brown.
