Move Over Dresses, It’s All About Boho Skirts – And This Nobody’s Child Style Is Leading The Way

Whether they're runway or high street, the free-spirited staple is the summer's must-have.

It’s no secret that boho style has made a major comeback - largely thanks to Chloé 'It'-girl Sienna Miller, whose day and night wardrobe is packed with bohemian staples every festival-goer would envy. From long, flowing dresses with cascading ruffles and sheer lace to cool-girl–approved logo belts, there are plenty of standout pieces that perfectly capture the free-spirited vibe of the trend - none more so than one key staple: boho skirts.

It’s no surprise that this Pinterest favourite has cemented its place in the fashion spotlight for summer. Back in September last year, Chloé (naturally) led the charge with tiered maxi skirts and sheer lace on the spring/summer 2025 runway. Zimmermann followed suit with whimsical styles featuring broderie anglaise and indie-inspired prints - perfect for a Mediterranean getaway, paired with a lemon-print baby tee or a bright bikini. Of course, as with any designer trend, the high street has stepped up to deliver serious boho-chic credentials - without the especially steep price tag. And we’ve spotted the fashion crowd wearing playful boho skirts left, right, and centre for some time now.

Amongst all the options, however, one staple clearly steals the spotlight, and that is the Nobody’s Child Tiered Maxi Skirt. Thanks to its free-flowing silhouette that features intricate detailing and romantic charm, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to channel bohemian style à la Miller. Incredibly practical and perfect to wear during sweltering UK temperatures, this maxi skirt is made with a cool organic cotton material so as not to stick to you during hot commutes or during errand runs. Unsurprisingly, it’s already earned the stamp of approval from fashion insiders everywhere.

Nobody's Child, Tiered Maxi SkirtNobody's Child

This would-be-Sienna-Miller-approved maxi skirt is an excellent addition to any summer wardrobe, built for beach and bar events.

When it comes to styling, consider pairing with the matching top for an easy breezy one and done off-duty look, or style with cool baby tees and bandeau tops. You could even wear this set for evening rendezvous (with a pair of kitten mules, of course) but if you'd really like to dress the skirt up on its own, opt for a sleek black longline waistcoat and lots of statement jewellery in either silver or gold - depending on your preference.

Otherwise, if you're in the sartorial market for something with a pop of colour, made of lace, or with asymmetric detailing - take a look at our top picks below. I searched for hours, and found some of the best, from Zara and H&M to Reformation and Charo Ruiz.
