It Turns Out That Amandaland Is Full Of Great Outfits — And You Can Shop Them All On The High Street

It's not often that a spin-off has people excited, that is, unless we're talking about Amandaland. The six-part series, which features Lucy Punch as Amanda from Bafta-award winning series Motherland, has finally arrived to fill the irreverent and funny void its predecessor left behind in our lives. And you best believe we're already hooked.

Much has changed for Amanda as she grapples with her new life post-divorce which includes a relocation from Chiswick to South Harlesden (or SoHar, as she calls it), the challenge of raising teenagers, and an attempt at social media fame as a minimalistic lifestyle guru. As well as the obviously brilliant new plot and acerbic wit on display, the highest points of the show come from the elements it chose to pull through from the original. Namely, Joanna Lumley who returns with an ever-funny and poignant turn as Amanda's mother Felicity, Philippa Dunne as her hapless sidekick Anne, and of course, Amanda's brilliantly manicured wardrobe.

Dressed in neutral creams and pastels, Amanda continues to impress with her curation of stealth wealth-coded pieces. Throughout the short run, she wears an array of striped knitwear, elegant tailoring, mini dresses and stylish jeans, many of which come from premium and luxury British labels including ME+EM, Self-Portrait and Stella McCartney. All of which to say - the outfits are ideal for London's often-dreary weather.

The trench coat

Amanda's monochrome outfit has been on our mind since the trailer dropped, and proves that you can never go wrong with a beige trench coat. We've found an exact match of her double-breasted style at Uniqlo. Amanda's beige knitted dress is an also a great addition to any wardrobe, and Mango's boat neck design will also keep you warm.

The striped jumper

Amanda's style file includes several French girl staples. Case in point, her car boot sale outfit in episode two where she pairs a Breton striped quarter-zip jumper with a navy blazer, both of which you can shop on the high street.

The tailored vest

For her first run as an influencer, Amanda pairs a tailored buttercup yellow vest with a puffy sleeved white shirt which, in our opinion, is a great office outfit. While her pinstriped ME+EM vest is almost sold out, Mango's design is strikingly similar. Wear with a shirt to work and by itself for a casual look come summer.

The jeans and cardigan

For most of us, our winter uniform consists of a few good pairs of jeans and a nice cardigan. In the final episode, Amanda wears a black and white striped cardigan paired with wide-leg jeans, and we've found similar styles on the high street.

The three-piece suit

What do Amanda and Kate Middleton have in common? They're both fans of ME+EM's timeless tailoring. Amanda wears yet another ME+EM piece, a three-piece suit styled with minimal gold jewellery for her job interview. The sleek pinstriped set will also work well when styled individually, making it a great investment.

The wide-leg jeans

There are few wardrobe staples as comfortable as a well-fitted pair of wide-leg jeans and we're taking inspirations from Amanda's patch pocket style this season. While her exact pair remains unidentified, Zara's high-waisted style comes close and will air well with nearly everything in your wardrobe.

The knitted mini dress

On a date with South African property developer Johannes, Amanda sports a selection of chic mini dresses from Self-Portrait, and we're particularly taken by with her Textured Denim Mini. While the actual dress is now mostly sold out, you can emulate the same vibe with ME+EM's tweed mini or H&M's textured knit skirt and cardigan set. For the finishing touch, opt for a Mulberry bag, specifically the Lana Top Handle which comes close to Amanda's.

The cosy puffer

A puffer jacket is a non-negotiable winter essential, and Uniqlo's viral padded coat looks just as cosy and chic as the one Amanda sports on her camping trip. We also enjoy her heeled Timberlands, especially considering the noughties classics have just made a major comeback into mainstream fashion - backed by Rihanna.

The shaggy faux fur

Going out with a bang, Amanda drops a truly glamorous look in the last episode with yet another Self-Portrait dress topped with a trendy shaggy fur jacket. It's the kind of jacket that'll add a dressy finish to your jeans, while looking just as good with evening dresses.
