This Is The Most Hyped Collaboration Of The Summer – And Fashion Editors Are Already Shopping It

If you thought the summer of sports was over just because we've closed the curtain on Wimbledon's stylish Centre Court, let me tell you that fashion has other plans. Tenniscore is obviously still popular, as are sneakerinas (Dua Lipa has been wearing her Speedcat ballet flats on repeat), and Oasis is finally back on stage, bringing 'blokecore' sportswear back into style. Even Adidas’ athletic shorts have made a comeback as a summer essential. It seems fitting, then, that our latest sportswear fixation should come courtesy of Adidas' brand-new collaboration with high street hero ASOS.

Launched earlier this week, the Adidas x ASOS collection is a celebration of each brand's expertise at weaving together quality construction and trendy silhouettes, all imbued with a subtle retro edge. Think sporty staples reworked with seasonal touches like crochet knits and broderie anglaise trims, and plenty of signature three-stripe motifs and logos. There’s a rich palette of burgundy, grounded neutrals, and bold pops of green and blue, everything you'd need for an active and chic summer. Basically, if you're looking for a cool girl-approved staple that'll keep you comfortable during the summer, you'll find it here.

This flowy cami looks like it should come from the likes of Damson Madder or Reformation, except it's the brilliant result of another Adidas x ASOS collaboration, and would pair well with plenty of other summer wardrobe staples, whether it's sporty leggings or a tiered skirt.

Of course, this isn’t Adidas’ first fling with the high street. The last time they teamed up with ASOS, they gave us the cow-print Sambas and SL72s that (unsurprisingly) sold out within minutes after months of teasing. Then there’s the ongoing Wales Bonner collab, which has brought us a range of It girl-approved trainers in fun fabrications (sequin trainers, anyone?) and bold colours.

But what makes this particular collaboration so brilliant from the rest is its versatility. It's packed with wardrobe staples that work for a range of occasions, and all you need to do is decide whether to dress them up or down. The delicate cami top, for instance, would look incredibly stylish paired with capri trousers or a crisp white poplin skirt (the matching maxi skirt has unfortunately already sold out), elevated with a pair of kitten heels. But if you prefer to keep it casual, or fully embrace the 'bloke' trend, opt for the three-stripe jersey mini shorts in trendy butter yellow, or go all in with the matching tracksuit in muted coral pink.

This classic bandeau top may conjure up memories of 2017, but with a casual sporty edge, you can easily wear this with your low-rise jeans in 2025. Or realistically, with the high-rise straight-leg pair you've been wearing on repeat.

To truly embrace blokecore this summer, go all out and wear the muted coral pink tracksuit top, as well as the miraculously still in stock matching bottoms.

You really can't miss with a pair of classic sports shorts, and this pair in a creamy buttermilk yellow is perfect for summer 2025.

These cheeky shorts are a stylish addition to any wardrobe, and would look especially cool paired with an oversized shirt, half tucked, of course. Finish off the look with some black and white sambas for a head-to-toe monochrome outfit.

Kendall Jenner confirmed it in a Hanes tank top – 2025 is the year of the basic vest. So it’s no surprise the Adidas x ASOS collaboration includes a classic cropped version, perfect for staying cool during summer heatwaves.

This adorable knit skirt comes in a deliciously rich brown hue, and features intricate floral detailing in a patchwork style pattern.

These comfortable shorts will keep you looking (and feeling) cool on the tube, especially when temperatures reach their peak. Because who wants to catch the stifling hot tube in restrictive jeans?

Another classic tracksuit, this time in a bold, vibrant green. Pair it with the matching track bottoms for a head-to-toe statement look.
