I'd argue that 98% of people go to Wimbledon to see the tennis, 1% go for the elite celebrity-spotting, and the remaining 1% go for the outfits. How do I know these very factual stats, you ask? It's because I sit firmly in the latter group and I'm not ashamed to admit that, for me, Wimbledon is up there with one of the most interesting fashion events to observe. This year was no different. We saw Olivia Rodrigo in a red and white gingham archival Ralph Lauren dress, Sienna Miller in an incredibly on-brand beige boho ensemble, and Ambika Mod in a ME+EM striped suited two-piece. The standout for me? It wasn't Ralph Lauren or ME+EM, it was in fact, a co-ord from none other than high street brand Abercrombie & Fitch.

The waistcoat top is one that took 2024 by storm and has remained popular ever since. Abercrombie's take on the trend is littered with sweet strawberries and is finished with a high neckline and button-through front.

Complete the strawberry set with the matching mini skort. Made from the same linen blend fabric, the skort also features side pockets and belt loops. Finish the look with a pair of sandals or kitten heels and a colourful bag.
Abercrombie's High-Neck Vest and Mini Skort are two items that, on their own, are incredibly simple. But, the strawberry print – a subtle nod to Wimbledon's famous strawberries and cream – makes the pieces far more fun and toes the line between nostalgic and knowing while being structured in a way that's more modern than saccharine. The skort also offers the ease of a mini skirt with the benefit of built-in shorts.

The co-ord, when worn together, makes for the easiest outfit – just add earrings and a pair of flat sandals. When worn separately, the individual pieces still hold their own; the skort styled with a boxy tee and fisherman sandals, the top paired with a satin midi skirt or wide-leg trousers. If you prefer a one-piece that's more throw-on-with-Havaianas-and-go, Abercrombie has also released the sweet print in the form of a midi dress, complete with square neck and slim-fitting bodice. Plus, the dress is available in three different height options (petite, regular and tall), which is an absolute blessing to us petite girls.

The dress iteration of Abercrombie & Fitch's darling strawberry print is equally as chic, thanks to its midi length and fitted bodice. Made from a cotton-blend fabric that's sure to keep you cool in the next impending heatwave, finish the look with sandals and a raffia bag.
As the courts have now cleared and the Pimm's pitchers emptied, our attention has shifted (not necessarily to the scoreboards), but to the lasting style moments left in Wimbledon's wake. Abercrombie's strawberry set, with its nostalgic print and flattering cut, has become a champion of its own. Just don't wait too long; if the number of times I spotted the co-ord at Wimbledon is anything to go by, it's likely it won't be around for long.
