Clearly, the world's obsession withFriends__ knows no bounds, a fact which was reinforced by the cast's reunion earlier this year. A whole 27 years after the first episode aired, we're still watching it, talking about it, writing about it (hi!) and, if Whistles is anything to go by, we're still very much influenced by it, too.
The high street label has made a dress which bears more than a passing resemblance to Rachel Green's mint dress, which she wears in season three, episode two. You know, it's the One Where No One's Ready, as Ross tries to get everybody to a museum benefit.
Eventually, Rachel emerges in a perfect green dress, which is exactly the sort of thing you might want to wear to a wedding or fancy party. And now you can, because Whistles' dress is basically exactly. the. same.
Not only does the dress have the same fitted silhouette, it has the side slit and the square neck. One amendment is that Whistles' dress has straps which cross over at the back, which Rachel's actually didn't have. And yes, I re-watched the episode for research purposes.
The dress is technically part of Whistles' Bridesmaid range but that doesn't mean you have to be in a wedding party to wear it. If you are eyeing it up, however, you may want to be aware that it's selling faster than the time it took you to watch the Friends reunion when it came out.
In fact, most sizes have already sold out on Whistles' own website but there are more in stock over atJohn Lewis. I would make a Friends joke here but really – could I BE any more unoriginal?
