Not even Hollywood superstars have avoided long periods of sitting at home in leggings during the past year. But now we're all back to making social plans, Margot Robbie has very helpfully imagined the way in which we can hold on to our new-found levels of comfort without sacrificing style.
Robbie may have recently announced she was taking a break from Instagram but, luckily for us all, her glam squad documented her most recent look to promote Suicide Squad 2. Working with the same team she's been with for years, Robbie's outfit is the brainchild of super stylist Kate Young, the woman responsible for some of Sienna Miller's best looks.
The combo sounds simple: leggings and an oversized blazer. In fact, it very much sounds like something you might inadvertently throw on to nip to the shop. But as the red jacket had a great, structured boxy shape and the leggings were high-shine, '80s-style in the same shade of scarlet, the overall effect was nothing short of brilliant.
Both are from Italian label The Andamane, founded by siblings Annamaria and Margherita Brivio who are also behind Paris Texas, the boot brand loved by Hailey Bieber and Yara Shahidi to name but two of its celebrity fans.
On her feet, Robbie wore a pair of Magda Butrym brown leather mules. The best news? You can buy the entire outfit, should you wish to recreate such a genius, no-fuss look.
Her look was also documented on the Insta accounts of her make-up artist, the legendary Pati Dubroff, as well as Bryce Scarlett, Robbie's long-term hair stylist.
To think that all we need to do to continue wearing leggings as we transition from Zoom to IRL meetings is find the perfect oversized blazer is very comforting indeed. Thank you, Kate Young.
