Kate Middleton hugging a puppy - a strawberry blonde cockapoo called Alfie, made front page news, but what about the fact that her outfit was, whisper it, from an outlet?!

The outlet in question was The Outnet, the ultimate platform for luxury discounts at up to 70% off, and the brand was Iris & Ink, the website's in-house label. The Duchess chose a knitted two-piece, comprising of a merino wool polo neck and matching skirt in biscuity shades of brown, that are almost entirely sold out already. (Ninety Percent has a very similar style - a crew-neck knit in either chocolate brown or terracotta and a matching pencil-style skirt - that would mean you could channel the same cosiness.)
