With museums and galleries opening this week, you might have spent some time either booking tickets or thinking about what you might wear for such an occasion. And if you're in need of inspiration, Kate Middleton is your woman.
The Duchess arrived at today's visit to London's V&A Museum, which opened for the first time this year, looking resplendent in a cherry-red and checked dress from one of her favourite frock designers, Alessandra Rich.
Like one of the other dresses she owns from the brand - the white-collared and polka dot number she's worn on several occasions, including most recently a visit to Bletchley Park in 2019 - this one had an elegant line of buttons down the front and finished at that sweet spot on the mid-calf.
Accessorising with pointed black pumps from Jennifer Chamandi, as well as high street hoop earrings (£17 from & Other Stories) and a double-strand necklace from Spells of Love, Middleton's outfit was pitch-perfect. The dress itself cost £1,565 and is now sold out, but Rich has plenty of other drop-waisted designs, many of which feature on-point polka dots, to bookmark for your next wedding.
