As outdoor spaces such as the park, the supermarket and most importantly the street have become the only arenas for dressing up in the age of Covid-19, a whole new genre of dressing has emerged. Stroller fashion is exactly what it says on the tin - a style of dress that suits pushing a pram - and recent champions include Jodie Turner-Smith, Chloë Sevigny and Gigi Hadid.
The latter, who gave birth to a baby girl in November, might be a new member of the club but seems to always have a failsafe stroller fashion formula: comfortable staples in neutral colours.
BUY: Gigi Hadid's Mango Coat
Mango, Oversized Coat, £89.99
Spotted on January 10, Hadid wore an oversized coat in brown check (Mango), slouchy suede boots (Dear Frances), and shearling-lined bucket hat (Louis Vuitton). Miraculously, the coat is still available, in sizes L and XL, for £89.99, and would make the ideal outer layer for this week’s brisk winter weather.
Hadid’s also been sporting giant puffer jackets. Hers is a cropped number from Wardrobe NYC, which she wore yesterday with zip-hem leggings from the same brand and acid bright trainers from Nike. A slightly more casual look, sure, but head-to-toe black will always deliver sleek points.
Sevigny proves that motherhood doesn’t mean you have to change your personal style, or sacrifice wearing what you love. The actor spent last summer wearing her signature babydoll dresses, block-heeled ballet pumps and cat’s eye sunglasses, and is still every inch the maverick she was when it comes to getting dressed.
The only thing that’s changed for her and Hadid? The stroller, of course (Hadid’s is by Bugaboo). Choose one with a neutral ‘sun canopy’ and it’ll go with every outfit.

Meghan Markle
Meghan Markle, shaded beneath the sun-filled skies in LA, wore bespoke Caroline Herrera, a label she wore throughout her pregnancy with Archie, to announce baby number two.
Emily Ratajkowski
Emrata strikes again, this time with the cool-girl combination of a beanie hat, faux-fur coat, slouchy jeans and a pair of spike-heeled boots from Yeezy.
Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff treated her bump to a blossom-printed frock and big earrings on her birthday.
Emily Ratajkowski
Enjoying a babymoon with her husband, Emily Ratajkowski made loungewear look sexy in a tie-dye top and orange joggers.
Mandy Moore
A sequinned dress, preferably one with some stretch that can accommodate your expanding waistline, is also fair game, according to Mandy Moore.
Mandy Moore
Committing to sequins, Moore posted a picture of herself in a spangly purple skirt and matching roll neck for a virtual appearance.
Emily Ratajkowski
Emily Ratajkowski certainly didn't alter her personal style during her pregnancy, as this black jersey dress paired with slouchy knee-high boots proves. Swap the heels for stomper boots, and this look could take you through all three trimesters (depending on the stretch-factor).
Emma Roberts
Emma Roberts had an excellent maternity wear wardrobe, and this combination of a loose-fitting slip skirt, a tee and backless loafers looks effortless.
Kelly Rowland
Kelly Rowland, plus a pair of high-waisted trousers, proves that you don't have to hide away under baggy layers (although go right ahead if that floats your boat).
Elsa Hosk
Elsa Hosk swaddled her bump in a printed dress and oversized sweater for a ramble through the countryside.
Romee Strijd
In cold weather, your bump's best friend will be knitted layers (don't forget the beanie) à la Romee Strijd.
Ciara
Ciara gave birth to her third child last year, and we're still in love with this high-necked, thigh-slit dress she wore at Tom Ford.
Jodie Turner-Smith
Jodie Turner-Smith welcomed her baby last year, but not before giving a tour de force in pregnancy dressing on the promo trail for Queen & Slim. Responding to haters on Twitter, who criticised the crop top she wore on The Graham Norton Show, Turner-Smith said: '...gives zero fucks about your disdain for pregnant women's bodies on British television.' Quite right too.
