It seems not even the BAFTAs could escape lockdown restrictions this year, as the annual television awards were celebrated in a rather different way for 2020. While some celebrities chose to attend the event held at the Television Centre in London (still with social distancing measures in place, of course) others, such as Jodie Comer, celebrated from home. But that doesn't mean it was any less glamorous, as Daisy Edgar-Jones proved on the red carpet.

Arriving at the event, the _Normal People_star was reunited (at a safe, one metre distance) with Paul Mescal, her co-star. She wore a Miu Miu dress, Jimmy Choo shoes and possibly the most talked about mascara of our age. Yes, even Edgar-Jones was taken in by the hype of Hourglass' Unlocked Instant Lash Extensions Mascara which, while it only launched a couple of weeks ago, has already sold out in record timing – and multiple times, too.

Makeup artist Kelly Cornwall created Edgar-Jones' BAFTA look, using all Hourglass products. While she used some of the excellent new skin products – the Veil Translucent Setting Powder and the Setting Spray are both brilliant – it's the mascara that stole the show. Why is it so popular? Well, as Edgar-Jones proves, it gives the effect of wearing false eyelashes without any of the faff, while still maintaining a natural look. It also doesn't clump and is easy to remove, too.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, the face of Hourglass Cosmetics, has been raving about itrecently, picking it out as her favourite new product, as has every beauty editor on Instagram. A few coats will give you dramatic-looking lashes, while a quick slick will leave you with a natural, fluttery look.
