Comer plays a psychopathic assassin called Villanelle who develops a fascination with her MI5 pursuer played by Grey’s Anatomy star Sandra Oh. The cast also includes Harry Potter's Fiona Shaw, David Haig and Kim Bodnia.
Based on the Codename Villanelle novels by Luke Jennings, the show’s already been a huge hit in the US. In fact, it received the much coveted 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, and it’s already been commissioned for a second season.

Comer rose to fame when she starred in Doctor Foster as the character of Kate Parks. She was in nine episodes between 2015 and 2017. In a recent interview with Stella Comer revealed that she has had a strong response from the public to her because her character had an affair with a married man. “The response to Kate was usually that people hated her. A woman called me a b_**_ on the train,” the actor told the paper.
She’s also appeared in the 2015 adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover, Thirteen, My Mad Fat Diary, The White Princess and Justice. Besides from TV, in 2015 she starred in her first feature film, the Morrissey biopic England is Mine.
