At yesterday's CFDA Awards, it's fair to say the stars brought it, providing one of the most interesting (and fun!) red carpet line-ups of 2021. First up, the shades. Drew Barrymore in yellow! Zendaya in scarlet! Emily Blunt in tangerine! It was a bold parade of bright colours (see also, Meghan Markle at last night's Salute to Freedom Gala) that was a shot in the arm to all the fashion people still wearing top-to-toe black. Having said that, there were several cases made for wearing exactly that - and very convincing they were, too.
Squid Game's HoYeon Jung arrived in a draped black dress by Louis Vuitton, a partnership that is already proving fruitful in the fashion stakes. Precious Lee hotted up her black blazer dress with a pair of (kinky) red boots. Ashley Olsen, the goddess of stealth wealth minimalism herself, arrived in her signature uniform of a floor-skimming black coat and black boots.
Elsewhere, Kid Cudi looked like he was ready to tie the knot in a white lace gown and veil by Eli Russell Linnetz. Paloma Elsesser wore an amazing selection of cocktail rings over a gloved cardigan (a great idea for winter parties, no?);Anya Taylor-Joy did jaunty in a itsy-bitsy skirt suit from Oscar de la Renta. Keep scrolling for all our favourite looks from fashion's biggest night.
