2022 was a big year for the celebrity wedding. Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker. But which wedding dress was the most popular? This is the kind of existential question you might be pondering as you wonder whether you can make some kind of soup from pigs in blankets and leftover cheese. Intrigued? According to research conducted by fabric experts Dalston Mill Fabrics, who analysed search data from Google, Nicola Peltz's wedding dress caused the biggest rise in searches for wedding dresses in the UK.
In second place was Kylie Jenner, who didn't get married at the Met Gala, but did wear a wedding dress from Off-White, which caused searches for 'wedding dress' to spike 182% above the average search volume.
Keeping it in the family, bronze went to Kourtney Kardashian. For her third wedding ceremony in Portofino, Mrs Barker wore this sizzling satin corset dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which triggered searches to surge 167% above average.
Fourth place was Britney Spears, who wore custom-made Versace, and had one of the most star-studded weddings of 2022, causing searches to increase by 158%. Stacey Solomon's wedding to Joe Swash, which took place earlier this year in August, came in at number five, with searches at 152% above average levels. Then came Carrie Johnson - who rented her second wedding dress for her and her husband's wedding reception - followed by Jennifer Lopez, who wore a trio of spectacular gowns from Ralph Lauren, Fern Maguire, Billie Lourd and Bella Hadid (who, again, didn't actually get married but wore a wedding gown for Off-White).
