Spring brides - don't worry about making endless appointments at wedding boutiques next year as we've found your dress right here, on the spring/summer 2018 runways. Because why wear a dress tried on my countless other brides-to-be, when you can wear something totally different and totally to your taste? Something that you could legitimately wear again?

We're not sure if it's fashion's pretty new sensibility for spring, or the fact that the traditional wedding dress no longer seems to be a prerequisite, but the London catwalks were overrun with bride-appropriate creations. From classic white, floaty lace ankle-skimmers, to pastel-hued chiffon concoctions, there were plenty of dresses we'd happily walk down the aisle wearing.

For the princess bride, there were ruffled, high-neck dresses in pale lilac and grey at Erdem or actually-fit-for-a-royal white pieces at Emilia Wickstead (who is famoulsy patronised by the Duchess of Cambridge); Christopher Kane's fashion-forward clientele could opt for ostrich-feathered strapless dresses or broderie anglaise designs which showed a flash of over-sized knickers, while the Simone Rocha girl could wear floor-length cream silk for a Forties glamourous look; and if you're after a Hollywood red-carpet style, there's Ralph & Russo, who showed a series of jaw-dropping sheer pastel pink and lemon designs.
