Fashion Month is, as the saying goes, a marathon not a sprint – albeit a very well dressed one. One week after hopping across the Atlantic for NYFW, Grazia’s fashion editor is on home soil for London Fashion Week (jetlag be damned) to see what the likes of JW Anderson, Erdem and Christopher Kane have in store for next season (or, in the case of the designers who have adopted a see now, buy now approach, for this season…)
For London Fashion Week, Grazia’s fashion editor opted for MICHAEL Michael Kors’ Gramercy Leopard Calf Hair Frame Satchel: the classic, structured shape means it is capacious enough to house all of the essentials, while the bold print makes it a talking point. During Fashion Week, versatility is key, and the choice of a ladylike handle or adjustable shoulder strap in black leather provides just that. And to keep those show tickets in order? A selection of discreet pockets. Who said fashion and function were mutually exclusive?
Stashed inside, you’ll find Bobbi Brown’s Cream Glow Highlighter to add a touch of radiance on the go (giving a partied-out Fashion Week complexion a much-needed boost), plus a miniature Reviving Energising Spray from high street staple Primark (at just £1.50, it’s cheaper than grabbing a coffee to go – and has a similarly revitalising effect sans caffeine). Then, there are the day-to-day essentials: iPhone, keys, credit card plus a diary packed with appointments (luckily, our trusty Mercedes cab has been taking us from show to show, making travelling across the capital a breeze…), a pass for the BFC Show Space on the Strand and a clutch of show invites. While we’ve probably seen the last of the British summer, we’re still optimistic for a last hurrah of good weather, making a pair of these pink-framed sunglasses by Prada a must-pack.
