What better way to brighten up a dark, rainy, Paris night? Diamonds of course. And plenty of them. During Paris Fashion Week, which took place in late September, Parisian high jewellery house, Messika brought some serious sparkle to an autumn evening. Hosting a star-studded catwalk show, the brand presented its latest high jewellery collection with the likes of Cardi-B and former Grazia cover star, Camille Razat in attendance, whilst supermodel Ashley Graham took to the red-carpet to take on hosting duties for the evening.
For her fourth high jewellery show, founder and artistic director Valérie Messika sent a 30-piece collection down the runway, each piece an extension of the ongoing 'Midnight Sun' collection crafted using over 125 natural diamonds. From statement, show-stopping, diamond drop necklaces and overlapping diamond encrusted belly chains, Messika certainly brought the sparkle to Paris Fashion week. Paris Jackson sauntering down the runway in a double diamond nose-rings whilst other models toted bejewelled lip rings and septum piercings, even nails were diamond-encrusted with Messika's new nail jewels.
Whilst last year’s presentation took inspiration from the 1970s, Valérie Messika looked to the bold silhouetted and statement oversized shapes of the 1980s for this year's show.
The highlight and finale look was the 'Fragments of Time' necklace, worn by Eva Herzigová, taking more the 1,500 hours to set, and has over 9,999 diamonds and with a total weight of around 129 carats.
With Sydney Sweeney, Kate Moss, Serena Williams, and Emily Ratajkowski - to name a few - already spotted wearing Messika's previous collection throughout award season, we cannot wait to see who else will be taking to the red carpet dripping in Messika's one of a kind pieces.
