Where did Harris Dickinson go to school?
Harris dropped out of school at 17 years old, at which point he very nearly considered a career in the Royal Marines. It was only when his coach at Raw Academy (a performing arts club based in Walthamstow) persuaded him to focus on acting that Harris decided to take the risk.
And thank goodness he did! It’s hard to think of a cinematic world where Harris isn’t on our screen.
Having attended the Raw Academy from the age of 11 to 17, Harris went on to land a part in a play called Angels at the National Theatre when he was 18. From there, the show led to him securing an agent.
Harris then went on to take film studies courses at college, however he didn’t enjoy himself. The experience convinced him that applying to drama school wasn’t the right path for him – and instead, he did bar work, picked up litter, and took on a sales assistant role in Hollister while auditioning.
He recalled, ‘I remember I’d be in the basement folding clothes and I’d get a call from an unknown number. And an unknown number always meant it was my agent. So every time, I thought: "This is it! I’m out of here!" And I’d rush upstairs and listen to the voicemail, and they’d be like, “Yeah, you didn’t get it.”'
Later, Harris would begin working in an east London hotel to finance trips to Los Angeles for pilot seasons – where studios would shoot tasters of TV shows that could, but usually don’t, go into production.
How did Harris Dickinson actually become an actor? You'd be surprised...

Talking to W Magazine, Harris revealed that he lies ‘all the time’ to get the roles he wants. ‘For my first ever job, I told them I could drive, and I couldn’t,' he admitted. Of course, the Babygirl star then booked the job, meaning he had to go and get his driving license quickly.
His fibs extend to other less conventional forms of transport too – ‘The same with horse riding. I said, “Oh yeah, I grew up riding horses". And then you just learn. Actors are like that, we’re pretenders.’
