Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson walked so Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner could run. And it seems after some initial hysteria, the internet is finally coming to terms with the fact that yet another unlikely couple has sprung from Calabasas and entered 2023's already wild pop culture canon.
It wouldn't be a celebrity romance without some serious internet sleuthing, with TikTokers trying to work out where the couple originally met (was it, perhaps, at the Jean Paul Gaultier fashion show in Paris on 25 January?), what their relationship is like and whether they are still together nearly two years later.
A video of the two interacting at the event has surfaced, and shows some undeniable vibes between the pair as they chat.
The video evidence was then closely followed by photographs of Kylie’s black Range Rover parked on the Little Women actor’s drive. Shortly after, 'sources' suggested that the pair had been heading out on dates (with one detailing that they had met for tacos at Tito's Tacos in Los Angeles) saying, 'They are keeping things casual at this point. It’s not serious, but Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes.
'It’s been really fun for her because it feels a lot different than her past relationships. It’s new and exciting for Kylie and she’s having a lot of fun.'
In September 2023, they stepped out in public together for the first time at Beyoncé's birthday concert. They were seen dancing, hugging and kissing at the event – in the company of Kendall Jenner, Meghan Markle, Kerry Washington and Kelly Rowland.
A few days later, the couple attended a New York Fashion Week event together. Another day later, they pack on the PDA at the US Open to watch the men's final.
In January 2024, then, Kylie attended the Golden Globes with her new man, although they skipped the red carpet. Their attendance was almost enough to overshadow the awards themselves.
In August, they were spotted on a yacht in the Bahamas with Kylie's friends and family to celebrate her 27th birthday. In October, they were spotted on a dinner date in New York, where Timothée is currently filming Marty Supreme.
So for those wondering if Kylie and Timothée have broken up, it does not seem to be the case. They don't post each other on social media, talk about each other in interviews or attend many public events together, but by no means does that mean they are no longer together. Given the fanfare around the young couple when they are seen in public, it's easy to understand why they are trying to keep things as private as possible.
