If you're a fan of Celebs Go Dating{ =nofollow}and Made In Chelsea, then last night one of the greatest reality TV crossovers happened when Tom Zanetti - Sophie Hermann's partner - joined MIC. The DJ and the reality star took a shine to each other in the CGD mansion - and happily, they're still an item, which was confirmed when Tom walked in to the country house the Made In Chelsea cast is staying in.

Last night's episode saw the MIC cast celebrate Sophie's 34th birthday - and naturally, Tom also DJ'd at the party, which had an Oktoberfest theme. 'It was actually an amazing opportunity because so many friends of mine were there,' Sophie tells Grazia over Zoom, speaking about the party. 'And not many people have been able to celebrate their birthday with any of their friends or relatives, I felt incredibly lucky that I could.'

In true Chelsea style, it was just a tiny bit awkward though, as Tom arrived to the house when Julius Cowdery was singing Sophie a song for her birthday. It probably didn't go down as well as Julius hoped, because Sophie was obviously distracted by Tom, who it turns out arrived a day early. 'He actually surprised me a day earlier,' Sophie continues. 'So literally the reaction that you see was my reaction.'

The 34 year old adds that she spoke about Tom to some of her castmates - meaning some people in the house knew the DJ was arriving, and others didn't. Was Julius one of the people who didn't know? 'You would presume so, wouldn't you?' Sophie laughs. 'To be honest, I really regret reacting like that for my for my birthday song,' she adds. 'But I was so distracted by Tom and the white teeth of the Colgate Casanova coming in! I completely forgot about the song - but it has been actually been an earworm in my brain since then.'

However, one person who certainly was not invited to the party was Maeva D'Ascanio - who Sophie told in the previous episode to 'stop spitting on my mink' - and, if you wondered, the pair still aren't friends. 'I think the older you get, the more selective you are about the friends,' Sophie says matter-of-factly. 'Your friends really are like the family that you choose, and I definitely do not want to be related to her.'

While she might not be BFFs with Maeva, Sophie is now friends again with Sophie Habboo. 'It was surprisingly lovely to have her there,' Sophie says, speaking about Habbs' invite and why they've decided to be mates again. 'It's really nice, because we had a chat afterwards about everything. And she really learned her lesson. And I think that is so important, otherwise I couldn't be friends with her now.'

As Sophie points out, Made In Chelsea makes quite a change for Tom. (On Celebs Go Dating the couple were referred to as The Duchess and Thomas O Malley the alley cat from The Aristocats.) But luckily, he's managed to settle in just fine. 'The great thing about Tom is that you can literally drop him anywhere and he gets along with everyone,' she adds. 'So that's a really great quality to have. And it was really important - especially for Fred - and they all liked him very much.'

But, according to Sophie, he has had to have a little bit of a makeover - mainly ditching the skinny jeans. 'We kind of did a little makeover with him,' Sophie says. 'He's not allowed to wear jeans that are three times too small any more and cut off his blood circulation! I don't want to change him, but I hate the tight jeans,' she laughs.

Made in Chelsea airs on Mondays at 9pm on E4.
