Made In Chelsea’sSophie Habboo has finally revealed why she dumped Sam Thompson, saying that he ‘doted on her hand and foot.’ It follows last week’s reports that Sophie has striked up a romance with Sam’s best mate Jamie Laing - causing the BFFs to massively fall out.
She told new! magazine, 'His best was that he doted on my hand and foot, but his worst was maybe that he doted on me too much. Some girls like that, I don't. For me, I don't like someone who's needy. Independence is key.'
She added, '[I would] Absolutely not [go back out with him]. He treated me well, he was lovely to me and he was a great boyfriend. I couldn't fault him in any way but he wasn't right for me unfortunately.’ It was previously reported that Sam - who was dumped in December by Habbs - had taken a break from the show because of the painful split.
Jamie ended his brief relationship with French girlfriend Heloise Agostinelli last month. An insider told The Sun about Habbs and Jamie's new relationship, ‘Sam has been left devastated by Jamie’s actions. They’ve been close friends for years and Jamie knows how heartbroken Sam was when Habbs finished with him.’ The source added that the new relationship has caused Habbs upset, adding that ‘she’s good friends with Jamie’s ex Frankie Gaff and has massively broken girl code.’
Last month, Sam said it was possible he’d return to Made in Chelsea soon. ‘I don't shut the door on anything,’ the Celebs Go Dating star told Digital Spy. ‘If I want to do it, I'll do it. I think "just do what you think is fun". I think that's just the main thing you do, really. So I don't shut the door on anything.’
