If you were devastated when Sam Thompson announced that he was quitting Made In Chelsea, then we have some good news for you this morning - as the 26-year-old has said ‘the door is not shut’ to his return, following his departure from the show after struggling with his break up from Sophie Habboo. It follows last month's news that Sam, his sister Louise, and her fiancé Ryan Libbey had all quit before the start of series 17.

“I don't shut the door on anything [with Made in Chelsea],” the Celebs Go Dating star told Digital Spy.“If I want to do it, I'll do it. I don't believe in this career path b******s. I think ‘just do what you think is fun’. I think that's just the main thing you do, really. So I don't shut the door on anything.”

Sam dated co-star Sophie 'Habbs' Habboofrom last May till November, and confessed that it was one of the reasons he’d decided to take a step back from the programme. At the time, he told Heart radio: “'Getting dumped all the time was chipping away at my confidence. You don't want to be around your ex. Everyone on there is now more her friend and a lot of my friends have upped and left.” Sam, who had his most high profile relationship with Tiffany Watson, added: “[MIC] takes your soul, you are so invested in it as it is is your real life.”

You can probably expect to see him back on your screens soon, then.
