In news that shouldn’t be news, but most definitely is being treated like it is, Millie Bobby Brown and Romeo Beckhamare supposedly dating - Posh, apparently, approves of the young couple.
Millie, 15, and Romeo, 16, are ‘hanging out’ according to The Sun, after being introduced to 16-year-old Romeo's family when the Stranger Things star handed out an award with David at charity Unicef’s 70th anniversary gala in December 2016. Adding fuel to the fire, it’s also reported that Millie said on the red carpet that she’d like something to happen with Romeo Beckham and her character Eleven in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things.
A source told the newspaper: “It’s early days but they make a very sweet couple. Posh has given it the seal of approval as she is a big fan of Millie’s." Another insider, who is close to the Beckhams, also added: "Romeo and Millie are hanging out.” Romeo has never dated anyone publicly, but Millie was in a relationship with American singer Jacob Sartorius, 15, until July 2018, when she annouced their 'mutual' split on social media,
Maybe, if these teens were a bit older, the tabloid gossip could be justified - but at 15 and 16, their relationship is nothing more than a high-school romance, and that's just how it should be treated. There is absolutely nothing tilliating about it - and it's weird that we care about it just because they happen to be famous. (Well, in the case of Romeo, the child of very famous parents.) It raises the question, how young is too young to have you and your friends' lives splashed across the papers?
