‘It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,’ Priscilla said in a statement. ‘She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.

Following in her legendary dad’s footsteps, Lisa Marie forged her own music career and recorded three albums; To Whom It May Concern in 2003, Now What in 2005, and Storm And Grace in 2012.

The only child of the King of Rock 'n’ Roll, Lisa Marie was heavily involved in the filming of the Baz Luhrmann’s recent Elvis biopic, starring Austin Butler in the title role, and was an attendee at this week’s Golden Globe awards where she cheered him on as he accepted the award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama.

In his acceptance speech, which is now going viral in the wake of her unexpected passing, Austin said, ‘I want to thank the Presley family. Thank you, guys. Thank you for opening your hearts, your memories, and your home to me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I love you forever.’

During the promotional tour for the film, Lisa Marie said in an interview with American news channel 20/20 that production was ‘emotional’ and brought up 'such generational trauma… in a good way.'

And in 2018 she told ITV’s Lorraine, 'I wouldn't say I talk to [him], I just remember everything and I can just sort of pull out of the files whatever memory I have and stuff like that and occasionally ask for help... which was the case with this record. I felt like a hand came down to me.'

Did Lisa Marie Presley have kids?

Benjamin Storm Keough

During her marriage to Danny Keough, Lisa Marie welcomed two children; a daughter, Danielle Riley, in 1989, and a son, Benjamin Storm, born in 1992.

Lisa Marie had called her son’s resemblance to her dad ‘uncanny’ and it was reported that they had a very close relationship, with her manager once saying, ‘She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.’

While he tried to live as much away from the public eye as possible, it was thought that Benjamin struggled with depression throughout much of his adult life and, in 2020, he died by suicide. Lisa Marie moved back in with her ex-husband Danny in the final years of her life.

Danielle Riley Keough

Her eldest child, Danielle, became known by her stage name Riley Keough. She’s gone on to have a successful acting career and is about the play the lead role in the Amazon adaptation of Taylor Jenkins-Reid’s Daisy Jones and the Six, about a rock musician reportedly based on Stevie Nicks. Seems like good casting, tbf.

She has dated Robert Pattison, and married her Mad Max: Fury Road co-star Ben Smith-Petersen in 2015.

Lisa Marie was also mum to twins Finley and Harper, who she shared with fourth husband Micheal Lockwood.
