The trailer for the highly-anticipated film ‘Jackie’ starring Natalie Portman, has been released.
The biopic is set to focus on the life of former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, in the days following her husband President John F. Kennedy’s assassination on November 22 1963.
This may not be the first film to document the murder of the former President but Chilean Director Pablo Larrain has strived to reflect upon the historical moment, this time through the eyes of Jackie Kennedy.
Decked in outfits Jackie was renowned for, such as the iconic pink Chanel tweed suit, accompanied by the distinctive 1960’s bouffant hairstyle, Natalie Portman undeniably transcends into character.
The two-minute trailer sees the former First Lady come to terms with the unanticipated death of her husband, one chilling shower scene showing her wash away his blood.
Debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film met four-star reviews and no wonder, as her doppelgänger looks and stellar portrayal of the former First Lady could tip her for an Oscar.
