Zara Phillips’ husband Mike Tindall has told the Sunday People that Meghan Markle will do ‘absolutely fine’ with the royal family.
Tindall, who married Phillips back in 2011, also admitted that the experience of dating royalty was ‘nerve-wracking’.
The ex-England rugby player told the Sunday People that Markle’s career as an actress would stand her in good stead for life in the public eye.
‘It comes with a lot of history and the family that it is. It's obviously nerve-racking. But she has been under enough scrutiny and pressure in her day-to-day life so I'm sure she will get through it. She will be fine,’ Tindall said.
‘As long as they are both happy that's all that you can ask for. I'm sure she'll do absolutely fine,’ he continued.

Phillips is famously close with her cousin Prince Harry but neither her or her husband have met the Suits actress yet. However, earlier this year Tindall told The Mirror that he was ‘obviously’ a big fan of the show. ‘I'm obviously a big Suits fan. It's a very good show. I will definitely try and get the inside scoop on it,’ Tindall said while speaking to the paper at the 2017 Farmfoods British Par 3 golf championship.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently on safari in Botswana. The royal whisked away his girlfriend of nine months following her 36th birthday celebrations in London, and the rumour mill has gone into overdrive about whether or not Harry may propose. Rumours have been fuelled further because Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton on a safari trip in 2010.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship has stepped up a gear since the pair attended the wedding of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews at the end of May.
