From a beaded bracelet to a diamond ring: Prince Harry’s latest gift to girlfriend Meghan Markle is yet another sign that their relationship is going from strength to strength.
Before you get too excited and start making plans for your royal wedding street party, however, it’s not that kind of ring. Instead, the Suits actress has been photographed wearing a gold band with a diamond on her thumb.
This token of Harry’s commitment is the latest gift with which the Prince has presented his girlfriend of one year. The pair were pictured separately wearing matching blue and white bracelets around the time that their relationship was confirmed; Meghan was later spotted wearing a gold necklace engraved with the letters H and M, and another ring bearing the letter H.
Discussing the latest addition to Meghan’s jewellery cabinet, a source told The Mail on SundayThe Mail on Sunday, ‘It’s a gold band and Harry gave it to her about six weeks ago.’
‘She’s happily told people on set that it is from him and said it is a little too big so she is always careful not to lose sight of it,’ they added.
‘Meghan feels close to Harry when she wears jewellery from him and he is very keen on symbolic gestures. Giving Meghan a ring is quite a serious upgrade from beaded bracelets. Meghan takes it off for filming but rushes to put it back on afterwards. It’s clear that the ring has a lot of sentimental value and that she finds it very hard to be separated from Harry.’
