The drama has finally - after two weeks - started to kick in on Love Island. And last night’s episode saw one of our favourite couples, Leanne and Mike, split. Calling him for a chat by the firepit, Leanne explained that she just didn’t see things working out in the future between the pair.
‘It’s been two weeks and I feel that I should have stronger feelings than I do,’ Leanne told him. ‘And I feel like I’ve been giving it time. I have really wanted us to work but I just feel like how much more time can I give it before I just have to admit maybe it’s not banging? I don’t know what’s missing. I really don’t.’ Earlier in the episode, Leanne admitted to her friends in the villa that she had ‘the ick’ (when you like someone, but then you suddenly become repulsed by someone).
Mike seemed lost for words at the brutal dumping, and struggled to articulate his feelings. And viewers were also as devastated as the policeman. ‘The hurt on Mike's face is actually heartbreaking,’ one viewer tweeted, as another added, ‘in tears for Mike, bless his heart! Hope he finds someone who genuinely loves him.’
But as one door shuts, another door has opened - as new girl Demi showed an interest in Nas, who has been yet to find a partner on the show. The pair went on a date, and Demi later told the beach hut that she gets nervous around him. 'Demi seems really lovely,' one viewer tweeted. 'I’m actually praying she truly likes Nas. He deserves a sweet one... it’s his time!'
We'll be keeping our eyes peeled!
