Though Meghan Markle’s dad seems an absolute nightmare, there's a great soon-to-be-dad in her life, as Prince Harry has already made it clear to The Duchess of Sussex how good a dad he’s going to be.
Speaking at the Endeavour Fund awards, while wearing an unusual but refreshingly informal maternity outfit of a white shirt with a tight black skirt, the pregnant royal said ‘He’s going to be the best dad’
How do we know this? Because Ross Kemp, as in Ross Kemp off of Eastenders, as in Ross Kemp On Gangs, told the press so!
As the host of the awards, Ross had a chance to spend some time with the royal couple, who were guests of honour at the central London event. And he told People: ‘We talked about how they’ve got a puppy, and we got a puppy before we had our first boy
‘It’s a preparation for nappy changing and pooing basically.’
As well as the poo chat, Ross recalled that Harry had thanked him for his work on documentaries about soldiers in Afghanistan, saying: ‘He said it changed public opinion in terms of the sympathy towards the soldiers on the ground.
‘He was saying it helped bring awareness. It was actually nice to be thanked by someone like him who’s been there himself and seen and done it.’
Ross is a big fan of the royal couple, saying: ‘They are down-to-earth, very warm, very decent human beings who care. They could potentially be a massive catalyst for great change — not just in the U.K. but around the world’
It has also been announced by Kensington Palace that Meghan and Harry are due to visit Morocco later this month. Call it a babymoon, call it a state-endorsed visit to ‘build on the close relationship between the U.K. and Morocco,’ we’re expecting Meghan to come through with some looks and for Harry to go ever so slightly red in the sun.
All in all, it’s positive end to a bit of a difficult week for Meghan, after news emerged that after she wrote her dad a letter after her wedding to Harry, his response was to ask for a photo opportunity. Meghan’s friend told People ‘He knows how to get in touch with her. Her telephone number hasn’t changed.’ Another friend added: ‘He’s never called; he’s never texted.’
Additionally, one friend added: ‘She’s like, “Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimising me through the media so we can repair our relationship,’
‘Because every time her team has to come to her and fact-check something [he has said], it’s an arrow to the heart.’
