Of any celebrity family dynasty to be deeply invested in right now, the Culkins are pretty much up there. If it’s not Macaulay looking mighty fine walking for Gucci in Hollywood, it’s Kieranbeing a cocky little thing in the new series of Succession. But who are all the many many Culkins?

And why is this especially appropriate right now you might ask? Well, the Emmys of course. Kieran Culkin stole the nations hearts last night - and after we've just come out of Home Aloneszn at that did you know three, yes THREE, of the Culkin siblings appeared in the film, even though little Macaulay stole the limelight?)

Here’s the rundown of the eight Culkin siblings.

Macaulay Culkin (41)

As if he needs an introduction. But let’s have a small recap. After being a child actor in the 90s (he made 14 films in six years, exertion fans), he retired in 1994, before returning to acting in 2003 in Party Monster.

He played kazoo in his band The Pizza Underground in 2013, did some more acting, and now is in American Horror Story and wearing nice Gucci blouses which he wears particularly well. And he’s a new dad, with wife Brenda Song.

Kieran Culkin (39)

Pre his Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated days as Roman Roy in Succession, Kieran played the bed-wetting cousin Fuller in Home Alones one and two. He appeared in Father of the Bride, before his breakout Igby Goes Down in 2002. He’s married to wife Jazz Charlton and they have a son, Wilder Wolf together.

Rory Culkin (32)

Another child star cut from the Culkin cloth is Rory, who played ‘young Richie’ in Richie Rich (Macaulay was of course actual Richie Rich in the film), and played ten-year-old Igby in Igby Goes Down - Kieran played the adult character.

His breakthrough role was in 2000 film You Can Count on Me which Laura Linney got an Oscar nomination for. Since then, he’s been in loads of TV and film: from Law & Order to Scream 4 via an appearance in Netflix’s Halston. “Sweet, sweet Rory. The baby of the family,” said Macaulay in a recent interview. “Also — and you can’t tell him I said this — he has the best hair of any Culkin." There you go.

Dakota Culkin

Cody, as she was called by her siblings, worked in film production and was tragically killed when she was struck by a car in Los Angeles in 2008 aged just 29. The death affected the entire family, with them all taking a break from acting to deal with the loss.

"Cody was funny," Kieran told The Hollywood Reporter earlier this year. "She was the funniest person in the family," explaining that her death was “the worst thing that's ever happened.”

"It's never going to be fine. It's always going to be devastating. I still weep about it out of nowhere." He also added that there’s a bit of Cody in his on screen sister Shiv in Succession.

Macaulay was particulary close to Cody, and when his son was born in April 2021, he called the boy Dakota.

Quinn Culkin (37)

This lot really like acting together. As well as Macaulay and Kieran, their sister Quinn was in Home Alone too - in an uncredited role, ‘Girl at Airport’. She also appeared in The Good Son with Macaulay in 1994. She’s out of the spotlight.

Christian Culkin (34)

Back in 1994, Christian appeared alongside bro Kieran in 2003 film It Runs In The Family, with Douglases Kirk, Michael and Cameron. He now works as a writer.

Shane Culkin (45)

The oldest of the Culkin dynasty, his father Kit reportedly tried to get him into acting, taking him to an audition but younger brother Macaulay caught their eye instead. He’s largely remained out of the public eye.

Jennifer Culkin

The Culkin’s half sister died in 2000, aged 30, of a drug overdose.
